How we fight blindness

Fighting neglected tropical diseases

Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), such as onchocerciasis, affect 700 million people in Africa. OPC combats these diseases through mass treatments, surveys, and educational campai

Eliminating trachoma

Trachoma, a bacterial disease, affects roughly 100 million people worldwide. OPC works toward its elimination through surgery, as well as prevention efforts and hygiene education.

Providing optical services

We help address uncorrected refractive errors in Africa by providing accessible eye care, training local optometrists, and conducting school-based screenings.

Strengthening eye health

We work to ensure equitable access to eye care for 73 million people living with visual impairment in Africa by strengthening infrastructure, running screening campaigns, and supporting training.
