Pr. Serge Resnikoff

President

Dr. Serge Resnikoff, a physician specialized in ophthalmology, epidemiology, and public health, is a professor at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. An alumnus of the Naval Health School of Bordeaux and the Tropical Medicine Institute of Pharo in Marseille, he spent around 15 years in Africa under technical cooperation programs before joining the WHO. There, he led several programs, including ocular health initiatives. After a brief stint in the pharmaceutical industry, he joined the Brien Holden Vision Institute in Sydney and has been involved in international teaching and research activities. President of the OPC since 2012, he also holds roles in several other organizations focused on tropical health and blindness prevention.
