The International Trachoma Initiative (ITI) fights trachoma around the world by supporting national ministries of health and organizations fighting trachoma. The Organization for the Prevention of Blindness (OPC) and ITI have been partners since 1998. Since 2017, the OPC and ITI have organized the “Réseau Africain Francophone des Experts du Trachome” (RAFET). This event brings together experts representing national trachoma elimination programs in West and Central Africa and enables experience sharing and awareness of good practices in eye health, among those who do not speak English.
